Sealed bids for the replacement of the Penncrest School District, Maplewood High School roof will be received by the District Administration Office, 18741 State Highway 198, Saegertown, PA 16433, until 1:30 PM on December 22, 2020. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at this time.
PENNCREST School District is soliciting proposals from qualified licensed full-service law firms to represent the district in basic legal matters and litigation, excluding litigation handled by attorneys selected by school district insurance carriers. The District anticipates entering into an annual agreement with the selected law firm starting on or about January 7, 2021.
Effective Immediately and until further notice, all school board meetings are closed for in person attendance. Individuals may attend via Zoom.

The PENNCREST Board of School Directors will hold a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. There will be a public Zoom link posted on the District’s website – www.penncrest.org. NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of School Directors of Penncrest School District, in Crawford and Venango Counties, Pennsylvania (the “School District”), at its meeting on November 12, 2020, adopted a resolution (the “Resolution”), the caption and summary of which is as follows:
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Board of School Directors of Penncrest School District, in Crawford and Venango Counties, Pennsylvania (the “School District”), proposes to adopt, at a public meeting to be held not less than three (3) days nor more than thirty (30) days following the date of publication of this notice, a resolution (the “Resolution”), the caption and summary of such proposed Resolution being as follows:
INCURRING NONELECTORAL DEBT TO BE EVIDENCED BY GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS IN THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $37,820,000, TO (1) UNDERTAKE GUARANTEED ENERGY SAVINGS PROJECTS, INCLUDING LIGHTING, WINDOWS, HVAC AND FLOORING UPGRADES, (2) CONSTRUCT ROOF REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS TO SCHOOL BUILDINGS, AND (3) PAY ISSUANCE COSTS; ACCEPTING A BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT; SETTING FORTH THE MAXIMUM PARAMETERS, SUBSTANTIAL FORM OF AND CONDITIONS TO ISSUING THE BONDS; PLEDGING THE FULL FAITH, CREDIT AND TAXING POWER OF THIS SCHOOL DISTRICT TO SECURE THE BONDS; APPOINTING A PAYING AGENT AND SINKING FUND DEPOSITORY; AND AUTHORIZING RELATED DOCUMENTS AND ACTIONS.”
The proposed Resolution is available for public inspection in the School District’s Administration Building, located at 18741 State Highway 198, Saegertown, Pennsylvania, on any open business day of the School District between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Such Resolution may contain blanks, as permitted by the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act (the “Debt Act”), that will be completed prior to its final adoption. A notice of the adoption of the Resolution, including a description of any amendments, will be advertised in accordance with the Debt Act. This Notice is given in accordance with the Debt Act.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Education met with all three superintendents in the county on Monday, November 2nd. We were all informed that Crawford County has now been upgraded to “substantial” in terms of our spread of COVID- 19.
Beginning on November 9, 2020, all PENNCREST Schools will move to an ABABC hybrid schedule. This schedule will continue through the holiday season.
