Who is the Nutrition Group?

The Nutrition Group is a full-service food and facilities management company founded in 1975. The Nutrition Group takes pride in providing nourishing meals to the students in the PENNCREST School District. The Nutrition Group provides services to educational institutions, business and industry, correctional facilities, healthcare centers, head starts and after school day care programs throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio and expanding into other states such as Florida, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia.

 

Cafeteria Information

Lunch
Choose at least 3 di­fferent items (up to a maximum of 5) for a complete school lunch. One item must be a fruit or vegetable.
 
Breakfast
A breakfast meal includes 3 of the 4 items offered.
These items include:
– Milk
– Fruit or juice
– Grain
– Protein
At breakfast, you must take a ½ cup of fruit or 100% juice
 

Primero Edge is a fast and easy way to apply for free and reduced student meals. All students in a household can be submitted on one application. To get started, visit https://www.schoolcafe.com/ from any computer. The automated program will walk you through each step and there is NO charge to file an online application.

School Cafe is also a secure, online system that allows parents to make cafeteria meal payments to their students cafeteria account via credit or debit card. There is a small fee per transaction to put money on the account on line. Parents will need the 8 digit student ID number to sign up, and will need to provide debit or credit information at that time to make payments. 

There is no cost for signing up for the following: 
  • View your child’s cafeteria account balance
  • Review your child’s spending and purchase
  • Access from any computer 24/7
  • Low balance email reminders

Wellness Policy the district's wellness committee met to discuss the wellness policy in October 2018. The committee members agreed the district is meeting the guidelines set forth in the policy. For meeting minutes or if you would like to be apart of the wellness committee please contact central office.
