What about meals?

Meals for the children are prepared by the school district food service. All meals must meet Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. For example, this means children must be served a lunch which contains milk, a protein, such as meat, a combination or two fruits/vegetables and a bread.

All Head Start children receive a breakfast, lunch, and snack.

All Head Start children will receive meals from the Adult and Child Care Food Program, and there is no charge to the parents for the child's meals.
