If your child is not already under the care of a family dentist, this would be a good time for your child to be seen as a means of promoting good dental health.

In addition to dental care provided by your family dentist, your child will receive dental health instruction and monitoring in grades K-6 by our district dental hygienist.

Can my child be given fluoride at school?

Students at Maplewood and Saegertown Elementary Schools can be given fluoride in grades K-4 with parental permission. Cambridge Springs elementary students that live outside “Boro” water can also receive fluoride with parental permission.  If they live within “Boro” water, they cannot receive a fluoride supplement due to the fluoridation of the community water supply.  If your child takes a vitamin supplement with fluoride added, he/she should not receive an extra dose at school.
