Superintendent Richard Borchilo Retires

Mr. Richard Borchilo, Superintendent of the PENNCREST School District since July 1, 2004, has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2010.  In addition to serving as the superintendent, Mr. Borchilo served as the Supervisor of Secondary Curriculum from 1993 through 1999 and Supervisor of Personnel from 1999 through 2004.

Prior to his administrative career at PENNCREST, Mr. Borchilo taught Biology and was an assistant principal and principal in the Ringgold School District in Monogahela, PA.

During Mr. Borchilo’s tenure as superintendent, the PENNCREST School district has continued its reputation of being a first class school district.

• Student achievement has grown; with the district meeting and exceeding the Adequate Yearly Progress Standard.
• Board Policies and Administrative Guidelines have been reviewed and updated.
• The district’s Strategic Plan has been developed.

 Mr. Borchilo and his wife Susan, have two daughters, Angela and Ashley.
